The marimba's metal tubes resonate with a soft sound rich in harmonic overtones. Two people can play the Calypso marimba at the same time, and its sound complements the Koala handpan and Forest tubular bells.
Playing is simple and intuitive: use the supplied mallets to strike the centre of the tubes in any rhythm.
The instrument can be secured to the ground using either of two anchoring systems:
A: Ground anchor — For stable installation in soft ground, such as a lawn or sand.
B: Flat anchor — For installation on hard surfaces, such as concrete.
